Molecule Backpacker Black – 54002 (light cotton)

The long Molecule Backpacker Black 54002 is a little bit lighter than the other heavy cotton models. It has got a modern, cool worn-out / rampage look.

Caution: This Backpacker model turns out slightly smaller than most Molecule models! So please carefully check the given dimensions underneath.

7 pockets in total:

•     2 front pockets with flap and snap / press button
•     2 pockets on the back with flap and snap / press button
•     2 big cargo pockets beneath at the thighs, also with flap and 2 snap / press buttons
•     1 secret mini pocket inside at the left hip

Additional features:

There are a couple of buttons outside and inside at the waist line, so you can actually attach suspenders (although Molecule does not produce nor provide those). Nevertheless there are also belt loops and an additional side-waistband-lace system to adjust and tighten the pants at the hips – you actually don’t need a belt.

The legs ends also have laces, so you can tie them up, e.g. to prevent small animals or insects crawling up your legs.

Some edges like those of the pocket-flaps are slightly napped to give these pants a modern cool worn-out look.

Like most Molecule pants, these carbon black trousers have big cargo pockets. The material / fabric is a durable 100% cotton, solid and soundly processed but slightly lighter than most other models.

This model also has internal straps (inside at the hips) for hanging.

Other distributors named this model “board pants” or else. The original Molecule manufacturer in Bangkok just gave it a 5-digit number: 54002, so if you compare or look for models / prices on different websites, just look for the number, not the names.
